Oh Well...

I'm here.

Along with refamiliarizing myself with the ridiculousity that is the US Army, a few new GREAT, TOTALLY SMART rules have been set in place here will I was gone....

Rule #1: No ear phones out doors. Now, I can understand the reasoning for this. You know, so you can hear people calling your name, or the occasional rocket. But they aren't even allowed on the track. So of course, the Army wants you to be "Fit to Fight", but you better not enjoy one bit of it while you get fit! I think we should have the right to decide how loud to keep our iPods on during a run.

Rule #2: You must obtain a license for your... BICYCLE. What?!?!

Rule#2.2: Your bicycle must be in good condition, as determined by the Billeting Office. Any bicycles deemed unsuitable will receive... A TICKET. What what?!?!

You just can't make this stuff up. Really.

Another fun little realization? The cute little netbook that I bought while I was on leave? HAS NO ETHERNET PORT. Why would you promote a NETbook that can't get the INTERNET in all capacities? Moreover, why didn't I research this??

Also... my desk moved. Or so I was told while I was on leave. In actuality, my computer was moved, and all my shit was thrown in a box and placed by my old desk. Are you all trying to tell me something? Cause really... I'll take the hint and run with it. All the way to Baghdad International Airport.

Tomorrow starts my diet again... or just not eating total crap all day. I'm several pounds heavier than before I left, and I just don't feel healthy. Meh. Also, I am peeling from the mid-bicep of my arms up... so my great little plan for getting rid of my farmers tan as backfired. I now am just a darker farmer.

I think I'm going to make a new rule of not checking my work email while I'm in my room. Cause really? It can wait. Hopefully that will keep me from going insane during the next few months.

It's really hard for me to have a good attitude today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. But considering I haven't sorted through the mess that has erupted over the last three weeks, I find that highly doubtful...
